June Renew: Day Twenty-Nine
There are some moments in life where you know something is wrong. It’s that nagging feeling that creeps all the way up from the pits of your stomach, pushing its way up through your throat and eventually out your mouth. I felt this once as a kid. I was sleeping over my grandmother’s house and was having some kind of strange stomach issues. I remember trying to sleep and thinking in my head, “Yeah, I might have to puke, but I’m not gonna.” Moments later I leapt out of bed, calling for my grandmother with a hand clamped over my mouth, trying not to puke until I got to the toilet, where she rubbed my back and held me until I was all done.
There are moments where you just know something, only you don’t know how bad it can get until it’s clawing its way out of your throat.
This is a short entry today as something came up, and it was again something I had that gut instinct about. Everything is fine, but it could have been a lot worse. Let’s just say there’s a lot of things that need to be expelled, gotten out, brought to the surface so that we may transcend to the next level on this. I’ll be back for June’s final day tomorrow, less queasy over circumstances, with a better understanding that brighter days are ahead.
