February Focus: Day Twenty-Nine
To say things have been rocky lately would be an understatement. Personally I’m in a good groove, but it does feel like a lot around me is not on the same wavelength. I was part of a work meeting today to discuss something that happened which I was not present for. But corporate structure demanded I be there, so I hopped to it like a good employee would do. A lot of it was uncomfortable. There’s a lot of discord over personality clashes lately, and part of me just wants to leapfrog over all the bad stuff and get to the good ending. But it doesn’t always work like that. We’re not going to be able to dodge everything all the time. Sometimes we need to slow-walk the process in order to get the only ending that makes sense. Vaulting past the potentially painful may cause us to miss the part that’s really bothering us. Bounding over the issues won’t ever get them solved. I say this as I anticipate more crazy times ahead, as the news is certifiably overheating at the moment. But don’t jump out of your skin just yet. If you take the time to parse out the hurdles ahead instead of leaping to conclusions, you’ll find the journey in getting there wasn’t as treacherous as you thought. We’re in the advancement stage. May as well keep it jaunty.
Thank you for reading me this month. Until next time.
