My December to Remember: Day Fifteen

News: Just more drone nonsense today, sorry.
Eric Adams’ top aide suddenly resigns.

Dad got back from Florida last week. He’s ready to go back after Christmas and New Year’s. He’s certainly taking well to his new Snowbird status. My boyfriend and I went over there today to see him, and he’s doing well. It’s just colder than he likes, as if he’s become a stranger to the Northeast now. Still, it was nice seeing him sitting there listening to 70s hits coming from the TV instead of the news like he used to have on 24/7. He’s calmer. More at peace. Found his happy place at least. So of course the topic of those dang drones hovering above his area of New Jersey was going to come up and invade our tranquil talk.

No, he hasn’t seen them. My boyfriend said his friend pointed them out from his kitchen window, but he still pays no mind to it. If they are above New York City, I don’t know that either. But it does remain a topic of conversation no matter how much you think you can avoid it. I haven’t a clue of what’s going on up there. They could be projections and fakery for all I know. Whatever it is, it’s a distraction from something huge, and I’m not interested in chasing the shiny object anymore. However, some people have genuine fear about the air up there, and I just have no intentions of boarding that same mothership.

Spies and lies ahoy.

As a kid, not only was I sensitive, I was jumpy too. One time I burst into tears at my grandparents’ house because their phone rang when I least suspected it and it scared me. I didn’t have the bravest persona and was scared of the dark until age ten or so. I wanted to have more might behind me, but as it turns out, I was always just a bit of a scardey cat. Now, at a time where it seems whoever is doing this wants us to be fearful of it, I have no energy to give it. It’s like the news and this world has exhausted me into indifference. Or perhaps I just know in my heart that this is all a sham to keep us glued to the skies above while they do all sorts of nefariousness down here. Keeping us nice and afraid of our new unidentified friends might just be the final grasp at power before they thankfully lose it forever.

I bring you peace.

I haven’t a clue of what’s actually going on, but I know it’s not above the Powers that Be to try and drum something like this up. I’ve gone through all the conspiracy theories about it, but this time, I’m just not going to be scared of any of it. It just does not seem worth it. And I’m happy to see a majority of people not going along with this charade either.

The only thing I know from this entire mess is there is no “superior being” outside of God who can change the course of human history. The world isn’t going to end “because aliens.” That’s not how any of us are meant to go out. The people who should be scared are all those lunatics at the federal level, who still have a whisper of power for another month, and how they’ve lied to the American people too many times to count, and who are certainly lying about this foreign interference too.

So don’t worry about anything above you right now. Focus on what’s important down here. Because if they have to resort to sky tactics to keep your attention, you know there’s something massive brewing they don’t want you to hear about. In the meantime, I’m not waiting around for any more fear mongering. My wits are about me, and my life remains the same. Plus, I just started watching my boyfriend’s favorite show of all time, The X-Files, so I’ll be an expert in these extraterrestrials in no time.

But if it’s these guys, we’re toast.
